My sincerest thanks for making my birthday cruise a memorable one. It was a beautiful day weather wise and the conditions lent themselve to a very relaxing sailing experience. As I told you, I had been an avid sailor when I was younger, and as of late had been thinking about getting another boat and getting back on the helm. I know I could have taken the helm yesterday aboard Sabbatical, but elected to sit and try to absorb and recap the skills that I left behind me over 29 years ago. Moving forward it is my intention to try to relearn these skills and in doing so, and at some juncture, buy another boat. Again, I was very impressed by your seamanship and at some point over the summer will be contact you for some one on one, if you are available.
P.S., Sabbatical is a fantastic and comfortable boat, they don't make them like that any more!
Maggie, Quin, and I really enjoyed our sunset sail on what was a great evening in crisp clean air with a gorgeous pink sky. Nantucket Sound seems to be such a perfect location for sailing. Your company and conversation added to our experience. I was not more at ease throughout our long weekend trip to the Cape than I was aboard the Sabbatical. Thank you again and we wish you the best.
Captain Bob -
Just wanted to thank you for our two-hour sail this morning; it was a special experience for myself, my wife, and our four friends. The weather was great, the seas were calm, but it was our caring and informative host that made the “voyage” so special. You have a kind and gentle manner that perfectly complemented the tranquility of the sail - can't wait to do it again !
I just wanted to thank you for the great lesson and the overall wonderful two hour adventure Chad and I experienced with you. You truly went above and beyond any expectations I had for the lesson and Chad really enjoyed his birthday gift! We already plan on sailing together in Minneapolis and surely the next time we're in the cape I will send you an email for your availability! :)
Thank you so much for the sail today. Emma, Booh & I absolutely loved it. You really made the trip very comfortable for all three of us, despite the high winds and big, rolling waves. I wish you could have heard the girls' enthusiasm when they described their trip to their friends. The spray & the waves were highlights for them. I am so glad that you guided them on their first “real” sailing trip as it will be very helpful in my attempt to make them into sailors.
We look forward to getting out on the water with you again.
Hi Bob, -
It has been a week since Joe & I spent the morning on Sabbatical on a clear and, yes somewhat calm morning of sailing. What an experience--especially for two land lubbers who have never been given such an eventful opportunity to enjoy the Cape on a sail boat. The conversation, sailing, and being out on water so clear you could see the Blue Fish jumping in abundance, made for a lasting experience. We just may see you over at the Peddler's some evening!
I just wanted to drop a line thanking you again for a wonderful sailing experience for my family. I truly appreciated your interest in and patience with our two young boys. They have not stopped talking about the experience and the many lessons they learned from you. My intention was to expose my boys to the wonderful world of sailing with the hope that they might be captivated by it - mission accomplished! We will be back on the water soon and will certainly return to Cape Sail on our next visit to the Cape. Should you decide to do so, please feel free to use the above note as a testimonial endorsing Cape Sail. Thanks again, Bob. Truly a wonderful experience.
Thanks to you, and our trips to Nantucket & Cuttyhunk, we successfully sailed the BVI at the end of January. We had a 34' Beneteau, not as sweet as "Sabbatical" but a good sailor and a good time for 7 days of perfection. Thanks to your patience, and the steadiness both of your boat and temperament, we had a time of our life.

In sailing you must find a real teacher, Bob lets you go pretty far so you can learn by mistakes. He taught me by letting me go as far as you could go. Sailing takes a lot of gentle concentration; you must focus on the course, but you must also be conscious of tides, the weather, lots of things.
